Andrew’s Story


 After a lifetime's work including jackaroo, merchant navy officer, project engineer and latterly systems engineer, I am now enjoying retirement. For over twenty years I was a practising Christian, then sixteen years ago discovered I the Bahá'í Faith.
I learned that there is only one God and that through the ages He has sent special messengers in order to educate all mankind. We know of them as the founders of the world's great religions. This knowledge was a breath of fresh air.

This perfect religion was progressively revealed. We now perceive differences only because the teachings were tailored for an audience which was very different from our own. Also our religious leaders have introduced their own ideas. Bahá'ís follow Bahá'u'lláh who we believe to be the "Promised one of all ages" and the latest in this line of manifestations of God. We believe that the Bahá'í Faith was revealed specifically for this modern age, for this time when mankind's perceptions and aspirations are truly global. Why stay restricted to earlier teachings which were designed for an entirely different world? Find out about the teachings for today, teachings which are destined to transform this sad world into a heaven on earth.

 The All-Knowing Physician hath His finger on the pulse of mankind. He perceiveth the disease, and prescribeth, in His unerring wisdom, the remedy. Every age hath its own problem, and every soul its particular aspiration. The remedy the world needeth in its present-day afflictions can never be the same as that which a subsequent age may require. Be anxiously concerned with the needs of the age ye live in, and centre your deliberations on its exigencies and requirements.
